Being childhood sweethearts at the age of 15, after a year Stephanie and I were engaged. Unfortunately, we both went our separate ways and married other people. Stephanie was married for 15 years and has 3 lovely children, 2 boys and one girl. I also married and by a strange coincidence, also have 3 lovely children, 2 boys and a girl whom I love dearly. Fortunately both my marriage and Stephanie’s marriage came to an end and after not having any contact for 18 years I realised that I still loved Stephanie and had never really stopped.
I set about finding Stephanie and did so through a radio station in our home city, called BRMB. After leaving my telephone number and all the details that I had on Stephanie and her family with the radio station, it was broadcasted throughout the Midlands. When I received a call from Stephanie, I couldn’t believe it after all these years. After talking on the phone for a few weeks Stephanie agreed to meet me. We met at a restaurant in the middle of the afternoon; Unbeknown to me Stephanie had been waiting in her car and was very nervous and excited about meeting me after 18 years. I arrived and Stephanie got out of her car and walked across to me, she had not changed at all, still looked the same as she did when she was 15. We went into the restaurant and talked for a good few hours, it was as if we had never been apart and it was then we both realised that we still loved each other, that was 8 years ago, we are now engaged to be married and now reside in Spain where we have started a new life together, We are so lucky to be given a second chance. |
